While I was surfing the internet, I found a topic about (Happiness). I've wondered what happiness means , which country could own happiness.I tried to define happiness, but I couldn't because happiness depends on how people see it. Some people find happiness in money, so they work hard and save money to feel happiness. Others see happiness in success. Also, many people think happiness is in good health or good emotions and nice feelings..
However,the king of Bhutan ــــa country located at the eastern end of the Himalayasــــ had a different view of happiness. He has gathered all causes of happiness in his country, so 90% of the people in Butan are happy. This is because the King didn't take care of economy only.In fact, he was developing the economy with interest, emotional and spiritual will of his people. He decided to make his people happy. Furthermore, the King took care of preservation of the environment, customs and traditions. Also, he took care of health and education.
It seems to me that the poeple in Bhutan aren't happy. They have a great sense of satisfaction, but that doesn't mean they are happy "contentment is an everlasting treasure. "
Finally, I can say that happiness is at the hand everyone, so you can make your happiness by yourself.
Jameelh, What an interesting subject. It's amazing how some people can go through the most difficult challenges in their lives, but still maintain an inner sense of peace and happiness, yet others seem to be incapable of finding it, no matter how much they have materially.
