WRITING CLASS /American Culture And Saudi Culture

All of us agree that there is enormous contrariety between American culture  and Saudi culture.In spite of that we do not mention  the resembling thing that we share with American culture like some customers " thinks giving and Halloween" . In fact, we see  American culture consistently since we were  children from movies and Tv show, so American culture is not surprised me that traveling to US give my  a good opportunity to see this culture in real life.

First,  The similar things that we have in our country consists with American culture , Aeed al Alfateer, in Saudi, It's like celebrate after Ramadan that all the people purchase new clothes and a lot of candy. In this celebrate, I notice that children are so happy more then anyone. they are happy of the new clothes and the candy. and they gather to pass  all our neighbor to say for them happy AEED, and take candy. The smiling of Halloween.

In our class, on Friday, we talked about three American protest songs that written by political dissidents and I was surprising that American government was arrest anyone talk about political due to all of us believe that American has the biggest freedom in the world . When I had compare these singer with Ahmad matar who was dissident poet from Iraq, I would find without any doubt the same reaction from the Arabic regimen about him.
his poems were  very acerbic criticism of the Arab rulers, lack of freedoms. he born and raised  in Iraq and  He is the fourth of ten children. He got married and had three sons and a daughter. He started writing in teen age and and published in newspaper.Undoubtedly, as a result of his ideas against the Arab state, he was deported. finally In 1986, Mater  lived in London

Last night I called hope.
I told it : Is it possible to get perfume from dirt and onion ?
It said : Yes
I said : Is it possible to lit fire by drench?
He said : Yes
I said : Is it possible to extract honey from Colocynth ?
He said : Yes .. I said : is it possible to have the earth put in Saturn 's pocket ?
He said : Yes , of course. .. Everything is possible
I said : So the rulers of Iraq will one day feel shy ?
He said : Spit into my face if that happens 

In my preparative, I think that there is enormous different between dissident and quisling that we have to distinguish between all of them. dissidents they adore their country like anyone. they only criticize the government in order to  development their country. Needless to say that they don't have patriotism but they believe in their freedoms. On the other hand، quisling work for lost the country. In addition,  Nobody can deny they Always make sedition and  make the country weak and easily to collapse.
